How G-Shock Canada uses Q-Lion Lights for Product Photos

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, G-Shock Canada, like most other companies around the world, were forced into a “work from home” scenario that didn’t lend well to their existing content creation and product photography processes and needed to start reimagining how to continue to produce the quality images their customers have come to expect.
That reimagining led their search to the discovery of Quasar Science’s Q-Lion 3x1 Kit. Now, using the 3 lights that come in the kit and a couple other pieces of equipment, they are shooting their watches better than ever before, much easier.
NEEDED TO BE SMALL YET POWERFUL
Given that they no longer had access to their existing studio and their legacy lighting equipment was too cumbersome to be easily moved and manipulated in smaller spaces like homes or apartments, G-Shock Canada’s product photography team was looking for smaller, battery-powered LED lights that had comparable temperature and foot candle (brightness) output while also not breaking the bank.

NEVER GOING BACK
After using the Q-Lion 3x1 Kit for their most recent photo shoot, results below, the product photography team at G-Shock Canada no longer sees a need for their existing equipment and plans on purchasing more lights as well as some complimentary accessories to increase their utility.
