New signal routing options allow all RR-R2 fixtures to bridge a variety of wired and wireless lighting protocols within the fixture itself. If all you require are the simple things in life, Basic Routing is everything you had from previous releases in the same place it was before. Straightforward DXM/Ethernet/WiFi input.

We wanted to emphasize this point again. 0.9a unlocks the ability of any RR-R2 to route a wired input signal and send it out as Wireless DMX.

When using sACN or Art-Net, the input and output Universe can be independently assigned. For example, you can have the TX fixture respond to Universe 1 but broadcast Universe 2 as the Wireless DMX Universe. When the fixture is acting as a TX you can now also assign a Universe Color to the Wireless Status LED. This provides a visual reference of which fixtures are linked to which RR-R2's when in TX mode.

The new 0.9a firmware offers smoother low end dimming in the 0 - 30% range than ever before. We've optimized the system to take advantage of the full 16-bit pipeline all the way through to make sure every long, slow fade has the desired look.

Latest Takes Precedence (LTP) merging allows two control devices on the same local network to send Multicast sACN at the same priority; i.e, a Lighting Console and Media Server, where they are able to control different parameters of the same lights at the same time. The last controller to send a dmx value change is the "latest" controller that takes precedence over that parameter.
 
For example, when using Profile 64 in maximum-pixel mode, a media server could send just the RGB pixel data while an alternate controller (i.e. lighting console) controls the global parameters such as CCT, +/-Green, Spectrum and Output Mode of those pixels. sACN Priority will still override LTP. So if a controller changes to a higher priority, then LTP is disregarded.

When making changes with your favorite app you will experience smoother fades compared to previous releases. This has a positive impact on apps such as Quasar Science's starCTRL which allows control of up to (7) RR & R2 fixtures over Bluetooth.
